on all the trucks ive been through they were 100% accurate.
Then I think I have 4.56's in my CC I just bought. Yes!

yeah i had that in an 87 i bought and popped the cover cause i damn near couldnt believe it. have any tags on the diffs still?

Don't waste any time relying on the RPO code to determine what gears are in the diffs since anyone could have swapped them out for something else, pull the cover and count the teeth and do the math.

It would seem kind of silly(not to mention a lot of work) to swap out a ring and pinion in both 14 bolt and Dana 60. No tags either.
I do want to see for myself...
