I got a wagonner pitman arm from WFO because my arm looked like yours.... except it hit the spring.... hard.... and broke the steering gear off the frame....

ouch thats always nice to feel the steering box just chillin not attrached with the steering wheel in your hand huh?

yeah, heard a bang and next attempt the steering was very loose. broke one of the mounting tabs off the box, sheered 2 other of the bolts and the only bolt holding box on was streched a bit and bent.

is your 5.3 carbbed or FI? i was looking at your panhard bar and was like what kinda oil pan is that all orange lol then it dawned on me thats painted aluminum, LSx motor.

I thought panhard bars were supposed to be parallel to the draglink? wouldnt it exaggerate bumpsteer? Not raggin on you, just curious.

yes they are, i did not have a good way to mount it the other way, it cured the horrible death wobble and left me with some bump steer which the steering stabilizer took care of

great thread. and speaking of trucks and ramps, i saw these awesome extending and folding ramps in this website and i wanted to get one for my truck. i figured it's also fuel efficient for carrying more load. really considering trying it.

zat in the face of the rim? or something rock rings would have prevented?

S7300002.jpg

The rock must have gotten in between the caliper and rim. From the scratches that are present i would suspect the rock was in between the rim and caliper for a little before it punched the hole in the rim
