Any good ideas on a El Chepo floor? I want to snatch the carpet out and go rubber or vinyl floor on the cheap. I have thought about scrounging up a 50 dollar cut to fit truck bed mat and try and shape it with a heat gun? I want to keep the insulation and look half ass decent . Anyone done this? Or is there a decent priced floor I don't know of?

I just used the roll on truck bed liner stuff. Works good for cleaning up messes but not so good for heat or sound barrier.
The winter time I usually have the windows down on my truck when trail running. Lol

I seriously thought about doing that on the floor but got a heap of wires to cover . I might just bite the bullet and buy the vinyl kit and be done with it.

Yeah, I think that's going to be the ticket. I might wait until after Christmas, I've spent 2k on this heap in last two weeks and the new un installed parts pile is getting tall lol.

FWIW, I went with a full Line-X interior and really like it. It is a little noisier, like you hear every pebble hit the wheel well in back, but I like not having filthy crusted carpet and cardboard stuff. Plus it's nice to know water isn't trapped someplace rotting away your floor.

I found a cargo van in the junkyard with heavy vinyl flooring and thick jute attached. It was a totally flat piece but it went in well. I left the transmission tunnel uncovered because I made it removable when I had to rebuild it to tuck the doubler and that helped with the installation of it. I think I paid $15 or $20 for it.
