yeah it usually is. I know you guys need to plan but there really isn't anyway to know what the trail will be like until May rolls around.
I've decided I'm going to try hard to make the trip too. I'm good with whatever date, just gotta try and get the truck ready in time.
Im down for all the dates...Ill be watching this thread.
My problem is I need to plan around the home sale as much as I do the snow.
Was waiting until ground is broken later in March. It's more mundane that all the other cool house builds on CK5. We will still be in Ault.
More importantly, how big will the garage be?
Not as big as we wanted, but the door is tall enough the crew cab will fit as is.
Is it deep enough?
Also, I went 9' wide on my doors, and I should have gone 10'. The truck fits in 9' with the tow mirrors, but just barely and it's a pain to back in and out with it that tight.

I am flexible on the dates also.
It's 24' deep so it should be. It's a 2 car garage with a 6' bump out so it's 28' wide. We wanted a 3-car garage but our lot wouldn't accommodate it. It's a single door that's about 16' wide IIRC. I'll still do the heavy work at our company shop, but at least now I'll have a place at home I can do some minor work, too.

I was wondering if the snow this year is a lot more than normal? Or does it just seem like a lot?
it's above average for sure but I've seen heavier winters (more accumulation) in the last ten years.
Yeah I have seen more in previous years by now but this year it started late and for the past few weeks it's been non stop and this week is the same.
It's going to be a big stockpile for sure.
