Rubicon July 2023

New plan, it looks like we're going to postpone the trip to the Rubicon until July 17th. Just don't want to make the trip out there and not be able to run this trail. I doubt I'll have another opportunity to make this trip again so I don't want to strike out if I can help it.

Here's some perspective on the snow situation.

Cmon, you got a big block and 40s, you can do it!

In all honesty it would suck to get there just be sliding all over the place to then get to the bridge and have to call it as it’s too sketchy to continue.
Glad the dates were pushed back.

I have a friend from Colorado going mid August because of the snow. Some of you know him from BB. Phil with the black TJ on 37's.

Yeah, but I'd like to keep that truck! Haha. If it was a snow run here we'd just sent @Raggedy_Ann first. :D

Hasn't he been before?

Sucks it was pushed out but I understand the concern considering the distance you’re traveling. The snow is melting really fast so I think it will be fine but that could change.

A few of us scheduled time off so we’re still planning a trip however we’ll probably skip the rubicon.

Yeah I was afraid it would mess up your plans and I'm sorry it worked out that way. I was looking forward to meeting up with you all.

Hard to imagine it would be clear.

I bet the water crossings will be fun. Our river coming out the mountains local to me is raging right now.

The rivers are rippin here too. Doesn't effect the rubicon trail other than some areas with standing water that are heavily controlled.
