Oh gotcha. I thought I'd seen videos of water crossings but that must have been a different trail. The rivers are rippin here too. Doesn't effect the rubicon trail other than some areas with standing water that are heavily controlled.

Yep.For those of you that have run the trail, we are planning on staying in Pollock Pines and starting from there. What's the best (most fun) route to the trail from there? Everything I'm seeing so far is just a paved road all the way to Loon Lake on that side of the trail. Is that correct, or am I missing something?
Yeah it's 3 hours drive from one end to the other on the road to get back to the tow truckWe unloaded at the north end of the trail. Left the semi and trailer there. Drove to Loon Lake and camped there the first night. Hit the trail the next morning.
What am I missing? Looks like only 1.5 hours to return.

It's kind of an evolving plan. My understanding was Fresh Pond is the last fueling chance before starting the trail.
I'll probably end using 30.
take lots of pics and share!@bmxbryant9 made it Buck Saturday so we’ve decided to run the trail next week.
