anyone from here up for a trip to the rubicon ?
a group of us from las vegas, lake havasu, and vancouver washington are heading to the con and meeting in georgetown on june 11th at 7:30 in the morning.

it would be cool to meet some more CK5 guys like our moab trip was for the safari.

lots of fullsize rigs. of course my chev truggy and as always the usual toyotas and jeeps.
our club in vegas and havasu are more of a mix of all kind of rigs with a lot of fullsizes.
our vancouver washington club is more fullsize blazers and old jeep trucks (willys). we should all be there.

Sounds like fun but I'm not sure we're going to be ready for another CA trip by then. I'm hoping for sometime right before the 4th of july for me but that's pretty up in the air now.

June 11 is close for me. I'm lining up a new job (hope I get it) but I might do a cannonball run all the way through again. not sure if Rita would dig it.

we have talked about the springs but wont make a definit plan for a couple more weeks.

the springs are pretty far in. I'd camp at Spider or at the slabs at Lil Sluice. that is where the party's at /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

you are correct probably best to camp at spider.
arent the springs just a ways before cadilac hill ?
every time ive been in there its been with a new group to the trail so I still dont know all the names of each place.

can we swim in the lake or is it full of leaches and snakes /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
