OK so i killed my k5, i want to put all the parts into my short box. i have a mild roller BBC, fresh th400, slip yolk 205 going to spooled 1 tons with 5.13's. i will use my rc 4", zero rates and maybe a 3" body lift. my Q is what to run for rubber? I will keep a tag on it so i can drive on the roads. lets hear what you guys think. I'm thinking 37" to 39.5" range.

well you say you're spooling the front and rear...so it going to be pretty serious...id say some 38x15.50 TSL's, or maybe 39.5 if they make them. just my opinion;)

this is what i had

that thing is beautiful:bow: ....i love the paint, what size are those boggers. look much bigger then 39s....

they were 44's
i sold them a while ago to a member on here.
my main question is a 5.13 to steep for a 39.5" with a bbc?

i have looked at the charts. most of the time if you run a strong bbc you can get by with less gear. what do you think of turning a big block at 3000 at 65mph?

hmmm...3000 at 65 seems a little up there...maybe 2500-2600 would be good, but if you dont drive on the highway much then 3000 is okay, if you count your positives and negatives, where u wheel, how much highway, type of wheeling etc. i think its really up to what type of driving the rig is going through. hope this helps a little.

Without OD, you'll be happier with those kind of revs. To get those 4 heavy meats to accelerate, you'll need torque (BBC) and finish with HP.
