Ruffstuff Axle swap kit

Need some feedback/info on ruffstuffs 14b axle swap kit. How many people have used it and did you need anything else for the swap. I wont be swapping to discs so i will be using just the simple swap kit.

as far as swapping in the 8 lug front axle all i should need there is new ubolts correct?

I noticed the 14b kit comes with spring perches, wont i be reusing my spring perches already on my 14b axle?

Last ??, Can you use the degree shims along with a zero rate?

what kind of truck did your 14ff come from? if 1 ton then the perches will need to be moved, if 3/4 ton then your ok.

its a 3/4 14bff

No, you dont need the spring perches. And, if you give Dan a call he will custom build your kit with just the parts you need.

You can use the 0 rate leaves with the shims. The 0 rate leaf bolts into the spring pack, just like a regular leaf. You must be sure the head on the center pin is long enough to go through the shim and still protrude into the spring perch enough. Don't cut corners on that. Some shims are available that also bolt into the spring pack with the center pin. Best to use those on the front. Major braking forces on the front.
