So I put a new stereo and speakers in my '91 this week. I finally got everything wired up and working perfectly and went to put the dash pad back on and CRACK?!?!?.... Broke the drivers side over the speaker almost completely off!!! I had no idea how fragile these things were, it only took a second and it was ruined. Just barely bumped it, and then while i was inspecting the damage, I put my finger thru the center speaker hole... Be careful guys!!! Luckily, it's not that noticable and will be ok until I get the truck painted finally. I guess now I have to pay $$$$ for a new one.

How cold was it. Ive literally thrown the dashboard out of the cab onto my yard in the summer without any effect.

The things a guy will do to justify buying an aluminum dash from Kert haha.

Where do I find info on that?

I don't think temperature had anything to do with it, I think it was more the age of the dash pad. I've had it out several tomes before with no issues, and I was working in the garage so it would have probably been in the 40's+/-. The aluminum dash I believe is available from either DIY4X or ORD... I can't remember which one.
