running a 383 in place of a stock 87-95tbi motor?

anyone doing it? i might be picking up a truck thats got some good parts i need in it, and one of them is a 383...for those of you running them in place of your stock 87-95tbi motor, how do you like it? alot more power? did you get a custom chip burnt up? if so how much and where?

You need more than a custom chip. You need to change the injectors for sure.

well the truck it is in is a 90 blazer, and he said it runs fine, despite the CE light coming on once in a while when its cold...

but, forget it, not getting it now, someone already put a deposit on the truck i "was" going to buy with the 383 in it....
