So, a few of you fellas may have read about my little mishap while running the CB cables through my A pillar this week.

Does anyone have any suggestions for running the cables down the A pillar from the roof to the dash? The 3/4 NMO holes are already drilled in the roof so I am set on running them in this way, just looking for the easiest (and safest!) way to do this.

The cables that are in there seem to be getting snagged somewhere, from what I can tell it's either where they come out under the dash or on the sharp holes in the roof. My best guess is to use a fish tape and some cable lube and obviously the Forest Service had no problem with this when they ran them the first time, so any info is appreciated.

My NMO cables in the tan K5 ran through the area the dome light went , and the NMO itself was a couple inches in front of where the K5 top bolted up .

My Wilson 1000 hard mount was in the center of the roof and went under the headliner and then under the plastic where the dome light was .

Both came down under the sail panels and then under the carpet at the drivers seat and and out next to the tranny tunnel in front next to the gas pedal .

Yeah they drilled the holes in front of the integrated roll bar so I can't get to the dome light cavity from there. I want to run them down the A pillar, just not sure how to.

If you pop the top off , you can drill a hole from the outside , through "roll" bar area , into the area between the double roof walls .

You can always use a rubber plugs to cover the hole before you pop the topper back on .

Well, in a brief moment of intelligence it occurred to me to take off the passenger side sun visor and there is direct access to the space between the roof and the A-pillar.:crazy::crazy:

I popped a test cable in that area and it sends it right down a channel and through the hole in the dash where the old cables came out.

Thanks for the tip, fellas.:wink1:
