I have a 89 with 10 bolt sock. I have 35's and i need help on witch gearing to run. This is going to be my everyday driver. so what gearing should i run. thank you for your help....:dunno:

Like ryoken said what trans do you have and what engine for that matter?

I'll go out on a limb and assume you have a 350 and a 700 trans, I would reccomend 4.56's with 35's for a good all around truck. I ran this combo in an 85 I used to own and was very happy how it performed.

well, 4.10's will have you at about 1800 at 65 mph... 4.56's will put you at 2000 at 65...

i'd go 4.56's so it's a little peppier off the line, and will assure you use OD, as opposed to it hunting between 3 and 4...

also depends if you have ANY intention of going bigger tire later...

here's a gear calculator....

I'm a bodyman by trade, so thank you for your help...what is stock gearing for this ?

i was too for many a moon..... :wink1:

stock is probably a 3.73, but not always.. is it doggy off the line with the 35's?
