So I just picked up a 72 Jimmy, It has some hooker headers on it. I have always ran stock ramhorns, but this already has headers so I am gonna stick with them.

Right now I am not sure of the wire brand, think they are build to fit universal type. Not a big fan of how they are routed and they have the heat shield boots made out of that fireplace rope stuff. The wires are still getting burned.

What are you guys running for wires and if you have pics of how they are routed with headers all the better. If running a pre-assembled set please let me know the year and vehicle they are made to fit or a part number. I am running HEI as well.

ya can't go wrong with Taylors or MSD... I generally run cut to fit on my personal stuff..

Nice pick on the 72.i got a 72 blazer with thrush header.Im runnin the msd 8.8 high heat blue small block versions.i run a simple 20 dollar wire loom kit that keeps them off the header.bolts onto the outer valve cover bolts.

I have no pics here at work...

BUT, I have a 76 k20 with a 350 in it. headmen headers. I have actually been descently impressed with them as of yesterday. I run the "expensive set" of wires from oriellys. dont remember actual brand name. I burnt up the cheap ones. I have about 1000 miles on these with no issues what so ever.

I have some store bought wires and use zip ties to keep them tidy and away from the headers.

i gave generic summit racing headers and use a combo cheap sparkplug boots and some ziptie magic to keep them from burning up.
