Running rich

The last few times I drove the rig to work I noticed a smell of gas when I step on the pedal a little hard. If I cruise no problem. If I pass someone up on the freeway I’ll get that smell.

I took air cleaner off and the injectors are spraying In a cone shape. I recently changed the 02 sensor. I cleaned my coolant temp sensor and it’s accurate. Last month I changed the fuel filter again.

No rough idle. Drives good just the smell of gas. No leaks found anywhere.

Could something cause the truck to run rich? Could that be the problem or something else?

Do you still have your charcoal canister to filter out the fuel fumes from the tank vent?
Do you still have the Catalytic converter?
Both do a good job at eliminating the smell

I’ll have to double check. I’ll assume yes. It has a fairly new catalytic converter. Less than 7k miles on new converter.

I just noticed today. White smoke at first start. Goes right away but today was a large little cloud of white smoke. Kind of thick smoke. Cleared right up.
