Hey guys, we have an 87 3/4 with a 350 and tbi i think. Lately its been running real rough at idle, and almost dieing. Best way to describe it is that it sounds like it has a cam in it thats really way too big.

Any ideas

Thanks
Tom

I got a similar issue I'm dealing with, done vacuum leaks and tune up easy stuff. I clamp off the brake booster and the idle doesn't change, but if I unplug the ECT the idle goes up to normal and smooths out. I need to adjust the valves too....

i had a similar issue with my 87.. and come to find out the idle fuse was blown on the fuseblock.. i had some wiring issues that must of caused it from before.. but it was lopping like it had a huge cam... and i also noticed the EGR valve was 2 pieced.. still connected with shaft but the vacuum head was loose as a goose... replaced both...

and idles like a top :)

hope this helps
