im putting my carbed motor in a 88 that the PO (jerk) cut the fuel injection out of. idk how he ran his motor but I put my 86 tank and left the 88 lines to keep the inline fuel filter. im running rubber lines from about the crossmember forward to the mechanical fuel pump along the inside frame rail til I can get a electric pump. ya'll think its gonna be ok to get that close to the headers? its a temporary solution to get it cranked back up until I run the aftermarket pump and AN style lines

Id wrap it with fuel line insulation. or cheapest route would be to hit up the junk yard and grab some hardline and put that in.

The inline filter will be too much if you're going to run a mechanical fuel pump, might even be too much if running a low pressure electric pump.

a lot of the guys around west ga run the carb motors like that. a 87 and up style inline filter on a retrofitted carbed motor and it don't seem to cause a problem. its just a paper filter same as farther up the line going into the carb. we just leave the normal filter out and run the tbi one

Negative, the TBI filters are a metal mesh screen filter and aren't as "free flowing" as a paper style filter for a carb application.

EFI filters are all smaller micron filtering.

I've only cut one open as it was rattling? Fram and it was paper inside, also just pushed onto one end. Something happened and it fell off! No filtering...

So I guess Fram fuel filters are as good as Fram oil filters?
