What do you think of running spacers in the rear of a DD that often sees 80MPH on a daily basis for 45minutes at a time?

If they are properly installed, I see no reason to run them. Just my .02! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

np on my rig in the last 18 months or so since i got em. Every time I take my tyres off, I go to retorque the nuts and they never move. just click-click at me.

I've been running 1.5" spacers for about 4 years, all around driving. No problemo /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Shawn runs a set on the back of the Potent Rodent. If they can stand up to his "rather spirited" driving style /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif then they should take just about anything that you can throw at them. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

So "spirited" now includes wheelies eh?

How is the Potent Rodent doing anyway? Last I heard the motor blew and Shawn was planning a new 540 buildup...

The 540 parts are in his garage... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I haven't heard lately if it's actually being assembled yet. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I plan on running 1.5" spacers on both side in the rear of my K5 that will see pleanty of on road use. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I had some on my other truck and they must have been a crappy set because the studs were always braking and they were some special kind that I couldn't find anywhere, anyway it was a pain in the a$$. It kind off turned me away from the spacer/adapters thing, but i think if you get a good kind you shouldn't have any problems. I got mine with the truck so I couldn't even tell you which company to stay away from.
