Ok so i have been out of the loop for a while.... i eventually want to get a hydraulic winch up front...

anyone hear of these? I thought about a mile marker 10.5k hydro up front.... they are about $1000... but the RunvaUSA 12,000lb is $550!!!!!!!

just getting word from anyone up here...

I've got a Runva EWP12000 on my K30, and I think it works fine.
A guy here in Sweden disassembled a Runva winch and compared it to Warn Tabor winch,
and he said the Runva winch held a much higher quality and was beefier.

where do you have it?

im thinking of buying one...
and putting it between my front frame rails... if a 15k patriot fits in the back i think a 12k can fit up front...... custom mount and through the roller fairlead.....

I have it behind the front bumper (see page 3 and 4 in my build thread)
It's an electric one btw.
It's actually got a motor from an EWP 10000 and the transmission from an EWP 12000.

The 12k version has a bigger motor so it wouldn't fit between the frame rails, if I wanted the spool centered.
Now I'm thinking I could have used a 12K version and mounted it with a slight offset instead...

The hydraulic version seems to be a bit smaller, so if you buy one of those you should be able to fit a 13K winch without problem.

These winches are beginning to be pretty popular here in Sweden.
There's a guy at a Swedish offroad forum, who sells them.
And I haven't read one complaint about them, only praise so far.

One guy even thought it was better than his WARN 9.5Ti

well i have cash in hand... i just need to determine the 10k or 12k to purchase... measuring tonight...
