..that IS bad!...my truck isnt that bad yet, give it some time though and it will be,sadly..
Whats weird is the front half of the frames on my 4x4's dont seem to rot anywhere near as bad as the part behind the cab...one truck I had,the 71 GMC K1500 had some real thin spots in the rear half of the frame,I sold it as it was,but was tempted to just keep it and chop the frame off right behind the cab,and use 6" channel iron to make two new straight "rails" and keep it for a yard truck, make it shorter to make plowing tight areas easier..
I saw a 72 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 with a plow for sale locally about a year ago on someones lawn..I stopped, looked inside, its interior was pretty nice!..not much cab or rocker rot either!..no bed on it though, and when I saw the frame on the drivers side,my heart sank...there was practically NONE from the front hanger of the rear spring back, just like Sweet K30's truck..

..was very repairable though, too bad I had just cut up and junked a decent '73 K10 frame that probably was almost identical to it,or close enough,to use it, a month earlier..they wanted 1500 bucks for it..
I passed, but felt bad about walking away from it!..
Makes me ill when I see trucks with better bodies and frames in the boneyards..till I need a frame, that is..then none exist!..
