I just tore my carpet out a few days ago and the floorboards are in pretty sad shape. I know a bunch of you have had this same problem, so where did you buy your replacement parts from? Are the cheapo ones from J.C. Whitney OK, or what about LMC?

I got replacement rockers/ floor panels for my 74 from JC Whitney and the seam where the wheather stripping rides on is to thick to attach the wheather stripping to so I never used them, so I'm not sure you want those, they suck...

LMC's pretty reputable.

I have ran into the same problem on my 75. Pulled backed the carpet to find mess. Even the front to back and side to side cab supports are pretty much gone. Even the additional plate to strengthen the cab with the top off is rusted out. I don't have any great suggestions on parts for you but LMC is here in KC and seems to have a good reputation. Do you have any suggestions on where I might find some how to tips on redoing the floorboards and support structure. Thanks! Good luck on yours.

Yea stickman, my cab supports are toast too. I think I'm just gonna order the stuff from LMC. As for tips on how to redo it...I'm not going to be much help there. I have a friend who has a friend that does a bunch of body work...I'm going to let him take care of this. I don't mind the mechanical part, but I don't know crap about bodywork.

if you are interested in saving some money i can get you a deal on the LMC replacement panels. Just let me know which ones you need. If they are the exterior panels i can also get them from a local guy here that I have an account with, for sometimes half the cost of LMC.

I've got the JC Whitney ones (rocker panels) and the seem to be well made and haven't had any problems with them.
