First time I used this stuff was to coat my air boxes. I used a peanut butter jar while applying. Around 48 hours (two coats) I sealed those air boxes up with fresh metal, and sanded away the RustBullet quickly for my spot welds.

Four days later I'm picking up a lil in the garage and came across the peanut butter jar. I squeezed it and it took way more effort. Smelled it, and you can still smell fumes. That brush isn't coming out- I tried.

How does this compare to POR-15? Once it's fully set what can I expect in R/L?

I would guess it's VERY similar to POR15.. tho I've never used RB, I've used gallons of POR15 over the years...

very "shell-like" in nature... the key is to properly topcoat it usually.... not only do they chalk up when not topcoated, but they peel...

Random thought because I'm in need of some of this stuff but does anyone have a favorite place to get Rust Bullet?

Got mine straight from RustBullet. Haven't seen it advertised anywhere else.

Not sure if a top coat is needed, unless for UV protection, but I will be topcoating the stuff thats visible to the eye.

I get mine from Summit.Have used it quite a bit and am very impressed. It's extremely durable when dry.Used it for tube fenders, battery mounts, bumpers, crossmembers, etc.Just about everything I fab gets RB.

I used Rustbullet on my frame and then Topcoated that with Rust Bullet Blackshell. Both turned really hard when dry and felt pretty damn durable. I also got it straight from Rustbullet.
