Back again. Haven't been working on my 77 for several weeks. Had to repair a deer strike on my everyday driver and my wife's '05 Explorer needs major rsuted body work.

I have extra windows for my K5 that I want to prep for eventual installation. The Sash on each window is horribly rusted. I need to slide these off w/o breaking the glass. Has anyone done this and any advice or instructions? The part I'm speaking of is #15 from this LMC drawing. Doing rear window too.

Thanks in advance

Windshield urethane, either 2 part or single. I glued the last driver window sash on with 2 part been 7-8 years now. 3M make the stuff 080609, this needs a primer 08681.

On my 80, the door Sashes are clipped in. Not glued. I can't remember exactly how it goes, but I think the inners are pulled up for removal, and then the outers have to be angled with the window all the way down.

I believe the inner is clipped to the door panels

yeah the window felts are clipped to the door and the door panel. @ZombieK5 was asking about the sash, channel that hold the glass.

ahh that bottom channel that holds the glass. Mine crumbled apart by itself, I put a new one and then used 3M window weld with the existing glass

If yours is old, it should come apart easily... i hope
