Rusty Mirror

The side mirrors on my 89 seem to rust up after one or two rain storms. One mirror came with it when I got it and the other I bought from Advance. I use Turtle Wax chrome cleaner on them and they shine right up. But a rainstorm or two later they rust back up again.

Any other cleaners or sealers out there to combat this irritation?

i thought that the side mirrors were stainless i live in upstate NY and thats the only part of my truck that doesn't rust

I know you can buy stainless, chrome, black, white, and maybe others from various sources. The "below eye level" mirrors on my 85 are stainless.

I think the factory ones don't rust, but alot of the aftermarket ones do. I might have one for ya Bill.
