Ryobi 1/2" 18v impact

Yes sir, I have one of these. I use it all the time taking tires off and putting them on, getting u-bolts started, tie rod bolts off....

I also take it to the trail with at least two charged batteries and the charger to hook up to my converter when at the camp site if needed. Ive been acquiring Ryobi tools lately...seem to be a good priced brand in the midst of Dewalt going down the tubes since they started outsourcing their manufacturing.

I just got the new one for christmas, havent used it yet but I did use the older version of it quite a bit.

I like Ryobi, they've really upped their game the last couple years. I think they're making some good tools for the hobbyist that can't justify buying the top end professional tools. I bought one of their 18v Lion drills this past summer for the wood shop and it's head and shoulders over the B&D NiCad drill it replaced.

The only thing I don't like about this particular impact is that it's only 200 ft.lbs. By comparison the OM is 450.

Any particular reason?

To me it felt light dutyish and the torque rating on the Ryobi was 1/2 of what the Milwaukee was. Don't get me wrong it worked and I own/use Ryobi's drill, sawzall and flashlight I just felt I needed some more torque as I am using it for Blazer and Motor home wheels.

Ended up buying it. I have 90 days to take it back to Home Depot if I don't like it. I looked at going with a Milwaukee or Dewalt, but buy the time I invest in a new charger and battery, I was going to be into for around $300.

I run the heavier duty of the Makita 18v LTX.

At first, i thought my basic IR pneumatic impact was stronger. Then I realized, after not using my IR for 2 yrs, and only using the Makita, that it gets the job done. Feels like it has to "hit" a few more times before lugs come off, but no issues with 120ft/lbs. A hell of a lot quieter for my neighbors too.

Yeah my air powered 2135ti-max whips the ass of this electric one, but I have used it to remove wheels/tires and take off cv axle nuts with no issue. Not bad for stuff thats a pain to drag the air hose out too. I recommend it as long as you arent expending it to break loose really stuck stuff.

Keep in mind, my pneumatic one is a basic one.
