ryoken need your paint smarts

i'm trying to paint the inside of my fenders so i can put my 91 nose and then paint the outside with the truck.

i'm using 2k primer,ppg delstar paint, and i need a good clear coat

can i bring the paint about an 1"over the top of the fender?then sand down and paint the outside of the fender

sure.. thats how you trim stuff out.. the paint carries out onto the exterior surface... than once installed, you resand the exterior... that will remove a fair amount of what carried onto that surface, back to mostly primer..
