s-10 cruise control ?

I am having a hard time trying to get the cruise control to work. This is a 91 s-10 4x4. Everything is hooked up, the fuse is good, the vacuum lines are all replaced including the line that goes to the brake switch. Any help would be appreciated. Is the speedo mechanical or electric?

how bout the switch on the column or the brake switch itself? On the K5, it's got wires going to the brake switch.

Just finally got around to this, ok, the switch to the column is the problem. If I move the tilt column, it will not work and shut it off, if I use the blinker, it will shut off...wierd. Ive never replaced that switch before, I wonder if its a pain in the ass, probably have to swap the whole blinker lever.
