I've got a '98 Jimmy with all the normal stuff in it like 4.3, etc. Does about 12 in the city and 18 on highways. It's small and perfect for city commuting but when I need something bigger and comfy to haul with, where does a Suburban fit in the fuel economy range?
Would I be better off having a Sub as a daily driver? I've heard of full size rigs getting equal mileage as the smaller Jimmy, so I'm thinking of going bigger if it means the same as what the S-10 already gets.
I want a 2000 or newer, 3/4 ton Sub. This would be perfect for hauling kids, groceries, parts, trailer, etc., etc.
Would I be wiser or better off getting a Sub and using it for that or just keep the Jimmy and use an older, different truck for the towing/hauling?
