I'm swapping the axles from a '76 k20 (D44HD/14BFF) in place of the 10-bolts under my '91 Suburban and I'm lifting it at the same time. The D44 is out of my reach in a storage unit at the moment. I'm putting in an order through ORD for the extended S.S. lines and I'm not sure if the front lines are 10mm or 7/16th's.

I've heard that 79-91 solid axle GM's (10-bolts) fronts use the 10mm and that the '73-78 D44/10-bolts use the 9/16ths primarily with some 10mm mixed in.

anyone know for certain?

Why not just use your calipers and drop them on the new axle? That way you already know the calipers are good. I'm pretty sure the D44 would have 7/16", but I wouldn't trust calipers that have been sitting in storage anyway.

thats a good idea. The axles have been sitting for over a year now and the calipers on the 10-bolt are fairly new. As long as their swap directly over, I'll probably go that route

The calipers are the same between 10 and 20 series trucks.... the differences are the ones noted when they switched to the 10b, but they will bolt right up and function the same.
