I have finally gotton the pics of the cage going in. Some of the pics didn't come out so I put up the ones that did. It took me about 10 hrs to fit and tack weld it in. We did modify some parts. I lowered the side bars about 3". I also didn't put the bar that runs under dash in. I added a center bar to the part that goes over the driver (halo bar). I also made the rear bars come down to the fenderwells Instead of the floor. This way the rear seat will still go in. Over all the kit went in easy. I first put the main hoop in and then did the side bars. From that we put the "halo" hoop on. then I did the supports to the floor by dash. I attached a link to my aol space. scroll down and check out the "cage" pics. You are more than welcome to look at any other crap in there.

Looks sharp - Now I've got something new to save my pennies for. I'll convince the wife I need it for baby safety.

Looks good, I have a smitty built roolbar/cage kit but I like yours better. Looks like a lot better bracing. I'm trying to find someone local to extend mine over the rear seat. I wish some one would come up with a full cage kit to cover front and rear seats.

Ok wait a DARN minute here! what year is that truck? It has a rear foot well! So the body and frame has to be 78-91.

Looks good. What size is the tubeing and wall thickness?

I like the halo bar better than the "sport" bars.

Grim, I saw it in person last weekend. From what henry can tell the body is a combination of trucks. He thinks the floors are from a 87 to 91 welded into a older tub. It should rock good when he gets the engine dropped in, it is a 454 with a roller cam and a Holly FI set-up. I just hope I am there to see the front 10 bolt go boom.

Sharp eye's grim. It's a 87 or newer floor pan. It has a earlier firewall grafted in and earlier quarters welded on. This is the way I bought it. but it was a rust free tub. Which are a rare find around here!!

your right. I don't understand the jeep thing!

Thanks for the good words. I just hope Somebody is there when that 10 bolt lets Go!!!!!!!

1 5/8 x .134 mild tubing. The kit sells for 199.00 but the have had them on sale for 159.00. Shipping was 75.00.

Heck a rust free 69-75 is a rare find anywhere!. GM installed the rust at the factory. They didn't even paint little lone rust proof the rocker boxes in those trucks. When I cut the floors out on my 75 I was finding raw unpainted metal all through it.
This hold true even for the rockers all the way up till about 86 when they started diping the bodies.

WOW that is very sweet. did you just weld that right to the floor or did you bolt it. let me know. LittleJimmy........

It's fully welded. I bought it from S&W as a kit and put it in. It mainly goes to the floor but I extended to the frame.
