Was hoping to find some pics of the 10pt cage installed too. Doing a search on this site is a pain in the a$$ sometimes depending on the subject.

you can cut down on most of the non related stuff by searching just the subject lines, vice that and the body

Does anyone know what the actual price is on these? It says most models $219 on their page, but doesn't seem to list specific prices. I also noticed they have $40 off until July 31 /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

yea the cages are what they say on there site, it doesnt matter what application it is, I talked to them about getting me one and they said I could upgrade to 1 3/4" tube free of charge and the family cage is a extra $100 and the shipping is about that much too depending on where you live, I havent made up my mind if I want to buy that cage all pre-bent or buy a bender and make on my self, I will prolly buy the bender so that I can make bumpers and such also.

Cool, good to know. I wish i could do a family cage, but would settle for the 10 pt if I can scrounge up the money. For now I really can't afford a bender or anything like that, so 10 pt would be a start, and could be added onto at a later point. Decisions /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

I have the S&W 10-pt. with the family cage addition sitting in my garage and will hopefully start installing it tomorrow. It was about $400 delivered and arrived less than a week after ordering.

I thought it was a pretty good deal considering what the tube alone would have cost me.

I almost bought the 1.75" x .120 DOM version cage, it was under $500. If you pick it up Wayne and want to add on to it, let me know, I just picked up a 1.75" die for my bender.

This brings up another question...

Is the 1-5/8"x.134" tubing that is standard good enough to make a decent cage in our rigs /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif I myself just want a cage as in "in case" type of thing, not something where you can roll it time and time again. /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

DOM is not necessarily stronger than HREW and is also a welded seam tube. The DOM just goes through an extra process. The quality of steel is sometimes higher in DOM tube though, but the quality of the steel used in HREW is fine too.

I have no problems using 1.75" x .120" wall HREW for a cage. 1.625 x .134" wall HREW would be just fine too...

Upon further reading, it says the 8 point cage is 1 3/4", and that the 10 pt cage is the same as the 8 pt but also as the front hoop. So when it says 1 5/8" for the 10 pt I wonder if that means just the forward section or the whole thing? /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif Who here on the board has actual experience with these S&W cages?

I ordered the standard 10 pt. and it's all 1 5/8" tubing. With the proper bracing I don't see any problem with it.
