s10 Blazer - Diesel swap, solid axles, expo rig

Also thought Id add that it looks like I'll be switching my front suspension plans to some beefy radius arms!

Thoughts on design so far are:

Square tube long arms
"inverted" style arms where the full length tube is ontop for clearance
Bushings at the axle end
Ballistic joints at the frame mounts

Probably run ram 1500 front coils (5cyl diesel is a hefty bitch) with adjustable coil buckets to tune in the lift and keep it super low.

the om617 is a strong stout engine, and if it ran good before you had it out, and if numbers were good, I would have left it alone, did a seal kit, and change the timing chain. That would be about it.

Woulda been a hell of a lot easier doing a 6.2 or 6.5, and still get respectable numbers. THat MB motor isnt that much lighter, give or take 100 lbs.
