While lost in a truck related pondering session, and having recently gone wheeling, I have been thinking of my saddle tanks. More accurately thinking how much more exposed they are with the 1 inch body lift I have. I know some of you are thinking that it is only an inch, how much more exposed can they be? And you might be right, but is has me wondering if it is possible to raise the tanks without too much effort. Maybe it is a simple as drilling new holes in the frame an inch higher.

The wheeling trip just exposed how nervous I am about smashing a fuel tank. I know sliders will help, but that is a project for another day.

I don't see why you couldn't raise them and adjust the hoses.

Are you familiar with the brackets? I probably have some pics from the K5 tank conversion

Why not just throw a blazer tank it?

If we were closer I'd give you the one I just pulled out of mine.

Mostly because I am also pondering some other changes that could make a Blazer tank difficult, if not impossible to fit.

I also have bigger fish to fry at the moment, financially speaking, and raising the tanks is free, or at least free-ish.

Even if I got a blazer tank for free, there is still straps and crossmember work, and fill hose modifications.
