I've already asked this Q. in a reply to another post, but here goes again. I have a '73 K5 and have heard about saddle tanks that go under the driver and passenger flooboards and rearward outside the framewells. This is where there where the 'rocker boxes' are. Supposedly they are used to control body flex. These don't seem to do their job on my K5 as I can't open my driver door when on a severe angle(like w/front tire hangin in the air). I would like to put some tanks in these areas. I hate stopping for fuel on trips. Does anybody know if these tanks exist for a post 72 K5, and if so, where I would find some information on them. I suppose I could fabricate some, but given the choice, I would like to go w/a factory setup.

Got'em on mine, I'll see if the sticker has teh phone # of the company who did them. they are quite nice though, control body flex, I've dropped the blazer onto them once-used as rocksliders- and no visible damage to them. They hold 14 gallons each for a total onboard fuel supply of 58 gallons-nice while on long trips.

Heh Mud...., Does 58 gallons force you to delay the gratification of relieving your bladder!!! You've got my respect!

4W.D-R.V. Customizers did the tanks on my Blazer, but there is no phone # on the sticker on the dash and I can't find them on the web, sorry

I will go over to nwmp next week and show them my tanks to see if they are interested in building sets similar to them, maybe I could even get them to put skid tanks on them too, we'll see.
