if you have a shop lift do your self a favor . add a disconnect plug or master power switch next to the pump .when i moved in the unit was hard wired .
i had a button stick on my this weekend and it was a good thing a friend was here to hold the safety cable kill switch so i could go flip the breaker off . thankfully nothing or anyone hurt .
today i stopped at lowes and got a 30amp double pole single throw industrial rated switch / box / cover plate . i then added them in to the system so now the power is off when not in use and also hands reach master kill switch if the button sticks again .
