My K5 has a six inch all spring BDS lift on it with less than 100 miles on it. The rear looks like it sets between one to two inches lower than the front. I have a big plastic tub in the far rear for parts, fluids, supplies, recovery gear, etc. I also just added a pretty solid 2x4 rear bumper and will be adding a swing down tire carrier that will hold a 35x14.5 Bogger on a steel wheel. So, quite a bit of weight will be situated in the rear.

What is going to be the best way to take care of this sag? I was thinking about a 2 1/2 shackle flip, but was concerned that it would be too much. I thought I read on here some where that you get more than 2 1/2 inches of lift with them. I really prefer more of a level look. Anyone have experience with shackle flips that can confirm or deny the actual lift numbers? Any other ideas to solve this problem?

Thanks for that. I already have a set of zero rates, but they are not quite enough to make up the difference.

Make sure you're not just looking at it and comparing wheel wells, the front wheel well is cut higher than the rear, some people think their rears are sagging and this is the illusion.

If in fact it is sagging, like my Burbs was, i just took the stock springs apart, and added two more stock middle type springs from another rear spring pack, helped lift it and give more support...

Geez, this sounds like an old timer type thread:confused: :D

I'd start with a shackle flip......if it's too "Stink Bug" looking, you could pull the rear zero rates out and lower by 1".

After that, you could assess how the truck is sitting and probably make the fine tuning adjustments with slight changes to rear shackle lengths.

Thanks guys! Some good info here.

CBBR... any chance you could post up a pick of perches Kert made for you?

Sleddy.... you had better be careful, if these boys find out you are a ricer you will be in for it! :p: If you are looking for a set of zero rates, contact Greg (Intense Off road) down on the pennisula... he can get them to us cheaper than buying them from ORD.
