since 1969 the bellhousings are large hole 5" hole, some aluminum and older ones iron, sm326 and sm330 threee speeds larger pilot, the old 318's were small pilot and there was a second casting of bellhousing before 69
This is actually a fairly rare option in a K5...would you mind taking some pic's of the column shifter and the tranny itself?
I'm sure I'm not the only person here that would be interested in seeing it.
BTW, if the bell does not fit getting one that does should be quite easy. I'm pretty sure the mechanical linkage would be the same for sure and mechanical bell's are easy to find. In fact I have a spare (or two now...gotta check my stash/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
Sure thing on the pics. I'm going to pick up the truck on Friday when I get a day off. This Air Force job /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif doesn't pay to build a K5 so I have a second job to pay for the toys /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif
