I would probably just gusset the underside of the frame over to the side of the hanger, just for extra assurance.
 
I may hear it for saying this, but have you considered running a Toyota rear axle? They are pretty strong in stock form, and can be made quite a bit stronger in the aftermarket. A couple of width's are available.
 
Over a month of Daily driving and mild abuse and it still works great!


Only real problems I've run into are I can only turn 3/4-7/8 to the left due to the pitman arm hitting the frame and I bottom the shocks out when I hit a dip too hard.

I'm thinkin' the remedy to both these problems will be a 2" or 4" spring lift kit with drop pitman arm.

Oh-darn, I require a lift. Whatever shall I do? :D


Still got the goofy lookin' stock rear axle with saggy butt. Haven't had the money. :rolleyes: :p:
