I just finished installing this HP Dana 60 into my '99 K3500. I took it on it's first test drive an hour ago. I am very pleased with the outcome.

Heres a few pics.

Full write up will follow soon.

More Pictures and specs on what you all use for swap?

Looks good but whats up with the spring over load thing

The front springs i used were a little soft, due to the 7.4 and the crew cab body. I added the overload springs to stiffen it up a little.

I will do a full write up soon, that will describe all components used, installation procedure, itemized costs, and a lot of pictures.

Waiting for the full write up.... I have a feeling that your caster is going to be off by looking at the pictures.

The caster and pinion angle are set exactly the same as they were in the donor truck.

It rides as good or better than the old IFS setup. I am very happy with the results.

Would love to see a shot of the rear hanger set-up. I am almost ready for burb conversion. PLEASE do your write up soon :waytogo:

Is the truck a classic or 'new' body style?

I am still taking care of some of the small stuff.

Write up is at least two weeks away. You can PM me for details if you can't wait that long.

Here is a picture of the truck before the surgery

Cruz, your thread was very useful. I learned a lot from your progress, and the lessons you learned the hard way. Thank you for your input and returning my PM's.

My truck still lacks a front driveshaft. There is an exhaust tube directly in it's way.

There is an exhaust shop a couple miles from my house. I'm going to have them re-route the pipe, and then I will build a driveshaft out of some of the spares I have in my garage.

In the meantime..........here's a few more teaser pics.:D
