Sasquatch

92 K3500 CCLB 454 TBI / 4L80E This is the rebuild of a rig that was purchased recently. This is to serve as a family tow rig that doesn't have a payment.
Well, the nitrous won't help when it goes through 12 gallons of water in 80 miles. Blew the head gasket yesterday. Wiped out the radiator and I'll see what else today. I tried posting the video but I'm incapable currently.

When you realize the life of the engine was really bad before you had it. I've only put maybe 8k miles on it since I've owned it the 3 years. EGR was pumping soot hard on the drivers side bank. Found a blown headgasket. I'm guessing the heads were never retorqued after the engine was installed.

Also found 5 and 7 lean and leaking. Cul 8 sparkplug was arcing to the head. This old gas gusset should do pretty good when its reassembled

4.25 inch stroker cranks are only 300 bucks..
My snap on dealer was telling me about his 454 build in an overland build he's doing. I'm going to see how it does. For now, ill just put it back together

At work I just pull the front wheels off and set the rotors on the ground on the F550s when they need engine work. Of course it helps I have an overhead crane and I just grab them by the tow hooks for lifting.

I use one of these I bought from Lowe's on a Black Friday sale.

I used one of those for years. I lost it somewhere and had to replace it. Most of the ladders are only rated for 225. My step ladder is 300lbs so I was looking for the 300lb platform when I found this scaffold thing.

Its the load rating that matters. I don't buy any ladder for work that doesn't at least have a 300lb rating. A 220lb mechanic doesn't leave much room for a component.
