Sasquatch

92 K3500 CCLB 454 TBI / 4L80E This is the rebuild of a rig that was purchased recently. This is to serve as a family tow rig that doesn't have a payment.
Working on converting the entire pickup over to LED lighting. Its actually harder than one would think for it being a 92.

Well at least a couple of lights come on.

Check engine/guages, right turn, abs, brake, any other misc light that supposed to work does not.

On a positive note though, it does tell me to put my seat belt on

I would just leave the check engine light out.

It can't come on if its not there.

I'm waiting for mine to burn out on my daily. It's on for a stupid emissions code but runs fine so oh well.
Had a buddy want needed to sell his 500 hundred dollar Mazda. Said the light was on and didn't want to spend any money fixing it to sell and didn't figure it was worth much to with the light on.
So he asked me what was the cheapest way to get the light to turn off for sale?

I told him. "Pull the bulb"
His response?
"Dirty, I like it".

Lol.

Ok, I've got a dilemma. I just found a chassis to swap axles under Sasquatch again. I found a frame with axles for a F550 that has 4.88 gears. I can have 4wd, gears and more payload for less than just getting the Transfer Case from ORD. So here is my question for the brotherhood. Curious on your opinions of the F550 chassis vs keeping my Chevy 60 14b combo?

I would go f550

So you would use the Ford chassis and axles and swap on your body and drivetrain? Or just the Ford axles under your frame? What year of F550? Does it have a locker in the rear or open diff? Custom wheels to go singles or just do stock 19.5s and dually the service truck out?

Axles and suspension only on my frame, unknown rear diff, custom wheels with singles

https://startrackstrucks.com/ford-f550-severe-duty-stage-1/ Just add another rear and you could have a 6x6 service truck.

Well poop! Looks like the spare axle needs to be bumped up on the build list.

Lots of big things happening in my world over the next month. Not sure how much money I'm going to spend on Sasquatch in the next few weeks.

Good things?
Yes sir. 2020 has been a wild ride. Sasquatch was never supposed to be a fulltime ride. Its a stay tuned kinda situation. It could go in a couple different directions. We may be putting a bunch of money into the crewcab quickly or may be reallocatiing the money for something else.

I wonder why my 14 bolt hates life? Hahaha

In case anybody wonders why I run Toyos. Its the only mud terrain I've found that is rated for the weight and a speed rating that tells me its a conservative weight rating. The heat that is caused by high speed is also the destroyer of tires. If it can handle the heat, it can handle the weight.

Same reason I run Toyos , the 37-13.50-17’s are E-rated and good for over 4000#
