So is Hurrah Pass a no go since no one signed up for it? If so what other trail could I run in a stock 99 Tacoma that day? I dont think I will be staying for a trail run sunday, so Sat is my only trail day.

Oh on a side note, in registration there is no option for standard Large shirts only medium and XL

Correct, Hurrah Pass dropped due to lack of interest.

Large shirts are sold out.

IMO, you can do Hell's Revenge in a stock truck. I'm assuming your Tacoma is at least a 4x4. The hard stuff can be bypassed. You would be doing what they call Tip Toe Through Hell. The bypass are all right next to the obstacles so you can see everyone else doing them.

Yep definitely have 4x4 and decent tires. No lift though and it sits lower than a TRD tacoma.

yep Hells is fun even for a stocker and you are right next to the obstacles when using the bypass, just park and watch all the others. You also will get some thrills on the fins, from the steepness but traction is awesome unless it rains, which it won't this year.

And I think Hell's is a quintessential Moab trail. In other words you haven't "been" to Moab to 'wheel unless you've run Hell's Revenge.

I say come to Hell:haha: My buddy thats coming with me will be wheeling his toyota so neither one of you will be total outcasts:waytogo:

I have been with a dead stock Taco (non TRD) that did all of Hells and even some of the optional stuff.

You will have no problems at all

Im hearing the exit could be the only spot I could run into some challenges. ???

You heard wrong. In a stock Tacoma 4WD, you better take nothing for granted on Hell's. It'll take attention and some clean driving.
Can you make it unscathed? Yes, probably; depends on whether you can actually drive.
Is there a lot of "Oh-Sh!t" potential? Yes, absolutely, even on the bypasses. And a few other spots.

Is this what you want to hear? Probably not.
Is it my intention to keep from participating in Blazer Bash? No, not at all. I'm trying to keep you from being overconfident, and in the process ruin a perfectly good truck that from what I'm understand isn't even yours...

Hell's Revenge is a fun trail, but it's not one to be taken lightly.

And if you think after reading this that I'm too opinionated, then well, join the club. Doesn't bother me in the least.

Nope this is exactly what I wanted to hear :D thanks! It is NOT my vehicle and I do not want to damage it at all. I guess we might just do what we can. Is there a place to turn back or park on the trail and hop in with someone else and go back for the taco later?

Well, we've had this a few years ago, with some (non-attending...) folks talking smack on the board that 'Moab trails are not that hard', etc. Next thing you know, we had a truck on it's lid, in a spot that is tricky, but it's also a spot that I've driven multiple times, and never thought that it had the potential for a roll - IF you were on the right line... and we were lucky that the situation wasn't any worse that it was.

As I said, Hell's takes attention; in some spots it sure is a long way down.

I don't think there's a good place on Hell's to 'park and get the truck later', I know there's a way to cut the trail short, but it's still a slickrock trail from there.

Thanks for just being straight and honest. If it was my truck I would drive it and not care about body damage, etc.. But like I said it is my girls truck and she doesnt want any damage. Already had to replace the front fender last month due to some minor damage that I wouldnt even notice on my K5 :D

Hell's is not a "body damage guaranteed" trail, not by a long shot. It just takes attention and careful driving, particularly so with a stock truck.

You might try the entrance, if you scrape the rear end and your GF gets nervous and doesn't like the sound, drive something else...

Thanks for the words of caution Michael.

It's a fine line to walk between not discouraging someone and also making sure they fully realize the potential difficulties. As you can tell, everyone at the Bash will be more than willing to jump in and help if you need it. On the flip side we also don't want anyone attempting something they are not comfortable with. And frankly running a trail you are not prepared for can make for a long day for everyone and that's not fair to the other people on the trail.

It'll be a fun time either way, THAT I can guarantee (mostly).
