Saving the Super 1974 K10 Cheyenne/Super

Found this 1974 K10 Cheyenne super posted up on the marketplace this weekend. I can’t resist and orange and white Cheyenne so I went and got it.
Truck still has 1979 plates on it that were stickered up to 1983. As far as I know the truck has sat in a barn since. Cluster says 60k could be accurate or rolled over but only 9 years of work life is a short one. I was not the finder. Here are a couple pictures with years of dust on it.

So here’s a couple pics of hauling it home. First one is where it sat for the last year

Had the day off so I spent some time stripping the interior of rodent messes. Ripped out the terrible buckets seats. I did toss a factory steering wheel on also. I’ll get more pics with the wheel and a ok bench seat
So fresh and clean.....still wet lol

Motor has been robbed of some things. Hopefully it’s still free. I’ll pull it out and make sure

Heck of a steering wheel in there.
Looks pretty clean on the bottom?
I hope it's not as rusty as the last one you dragged home.

haha which one? Both blazers were pretty bad. This truck is not that rusty! I’d consider it really clean for Iowa/nebraska truck

Would be pretty cool to get this restored and built just like your other one to have them match.

A true barnfind and save!
Cool stuff

Keep the pics coming. That steering wheel was truly something... save it for your go-cart build

One parts truck always leads to another parts truck. Got this stupid cheap. Good running 305/Th350/np208. Plan is to clean this frame up a little then toss the 74 Body on it.

Power washed and used my power washer sand blaster on the frame. It’s not perfect, started painting and undercoating it. Rails I used rubberized undercoating and axle parts and around other parts I just rattle canned. Tossed on some rally’s and 33s also BAE1F3BF-70D0-4F99-8EEA-33C72CE10C4A.jpeg
Took picture with my new iPhone 11+ pro. :eek1:
