saw this on ebay.... your thoughts

unobtanium, had to google it, sums up my thoughts..... I was thinking they meant to put 13 but put in 31..... even at 13 though:doah:

Spendy build for sure, especially when you have a shop do all the work. Add in the expensive parts...

Not sure someone would pay $31K for that Blazer, but you never know. Is it worth it? Not to me, but maybe to someone else. I can see where the ask price comes from though.

The money is certainly in there. But good luck getting someone to buy it. Looks like a really great build tho.

My question is, all that work and no axle trusses?

Definitely a well done truck though. I'd drive the piss out of it!

Well the truck is super awesome and I don't know who wouldn't want it. Most of us here would build something else for a lot less money, but there might be somebody with $$ to spend and wants a turn-key. Think about what a dealer charges for a truck and which would you rather own?

I am confused by the custom 5-lug conversion, but I assume that was done to facilitate the full-floating conversion on the rear 10-bolt. I suppose the 1/2-tons were chosen to save unsprung weight. With both FF, good aftermarket diffs/gears and some chrome-moly axleshafts they would actually be pretty stout. As stated above, trusses would make sense. They may have some more subtle tricks done that don't show up in the pictures. There's probably tons of details not shown or described, as nothing about it looks hack.

EDIT: Check out that sweet double-shear pitman arm.

If that truck was built for a purpose shouldn't the cab be caged?

I don't know about most of you, but I definitely have that much into MY blazer. I didn't build the axles/trans/T-case/engine/ or cage though, I had to pay a few shops for that. But I did however get my D60 for $68, countless used deals and bartering, not to mention junkyard diving and a $50 paint job.

I'm sure if my build went in the direction of this truck, I'd have $30k or more into it. Now, I'm not going to pay $30k for this truck, cause I want a deal. But saying that always hurts, cause it just means my truck ain't work s**t hahahahaha

Guess it all depends on what you want. IS the money there? Sure, in parts or labor. Everyone's already said this all though. You never get back what you put into it.

Had I 30k laying around to spend on a truck? Deal or no deal, with no repercussions on dropping that coin, Sure, why the hell not.

We've also all seen $15-20k trucks selling for $5-7k too. You never get it back. But this aint no investment, we know that. If you have the coin, want it turn key ready, go for it. HOPEFULLY he asked for a 13 but they drew a 31, so to speak

Could you build it for that? Probably not. I have over 1/3rd of that into mine and I still don't have my cage or rear suspension done, and im still on leaf springs :haha:

With [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Blitzkrieg Motor Sports doing most of the work, He has close to twice that in it. It is a top notch build and works really well. I tried to talk him into linking the rear, but money became an issue. In a straight line he would smoke me, but get into whoops and I would go by. It is too bad the truck was not finished.

Like Drooling said, you could not build it for that price. Somebody in Southern California will buy it.

I may have that much in mine, doing all of the work myself 10 years ago.

That looks like a fabricated Ford 9" housing in the rear. I'm thinking they used Ford outers on the front 10b for a matching lug pattern.
