SB vs BB

The holes in the BBC are all further apart. They use entirely different accessary brackets than SBC.

Thats the biggest drawback from having always had small blocks. Lots of performance parts laying around allready. Would have to buy all new stuff for a BB. The answer.... a 383

All the holes are different and nothing from the SBC will swap to the BBC bracket wise.

[HIJACK] While we're on the subject, how about the motor mounts? Does the clamshell that bolts to the side of the block differ? Can I just pull the long bolts out, and swap it like that? I've got a conversion coming up....but the 454 is coming out of a 2wd, and going into a 4wd with a sbc. Anyone forsee any issues? [/HIJACK]

Sorry Muddytazz, but you made me remember what I've been wondering about.
