Is the rocker arm nut tightened 1 and 1/2 turns after ZERO LASH on the SBC 5.7 liter Roller Lifter Adjustment?

My How to Rebuild SBC book is very old, does not mention roller lifters.:doah:

1/4 to 1/2 after zero lash is typical for aftermarket lifters but oem are usually 1 full turn..When in doubt contact the cam company or go to there website for the info.Mine are 1/2 after zero.

I'm reusing OEM cam and OEM lifters. I thought I read somewhere online that the OEM's were 1 & 1/2 turns? One turn might be enough?

Dave, if/when you call me i'll give you the low down on adjustment. :thumb:

1 turn after zero lash is pretty much what ive always done and always been told to do on hydraulic lifters.

1/2 turn after zerolash is what I did on my summitracing non-roller lifters. 1 and 1/2 turns seems like it would be close to bottoming out the plunger. I'm pretty sure it would be the same for roller lifters as theres really not much of a difference in the way they work.
