Hey bud, could you check shipping for me to 39401?:D

Oh yeah and what's the flange thickness and tube sizes?

Head flange is 1/2" thick.

Collector flange is 7/16" thick.

Tube o.d. is 1.5" diameter.

Not sure on the tubes material thickness.

Shipping quote will come as soon as I find a box to fit them in.

Those look like Gibson headers for 88-95 chevy truck. If I hadn't recently bought a new set I would be all over these.

Will they fit 73-87 pickups?
If so Im interested.
I was told they would but you'd have to notch a part of the frame. Not sure if it was the top, bottom or both.

The passenger side fits without any issues, the driver side will require a small amount of grinding on the upper portion of the frame rail (1/4" at most) AND you'll have to plug the 02 sensor port (I used an oil pan drain plug with a steel crush washer and tightened it really good then cut the head of the drain plug off so it was only about 1/8" thick flange that was left). If you need an 02 sensor I then installed an 02 bung just below the collector flange on the exhaust pipe at the rear side of the pipe.

Do you think there is a big power loss?
I'd like to ditch my rusty full-length headers.

Scott, whats the difference in the manifold/header bolting pattern between the '95 and '96 year split? I know '96 began the Vortecs so I immediately thought the bolt pattern must be different?

The exhaust bot pattern is all the same from 1955-1999 (until the LS series came out anyway whatever year that was).

Then why won't these headers work on newer trucks? I checked the Gibson site and the part numbers are different between '95 and '96.

It is probably a chassis issue as they don't directly fit 87-earlier either BUT with the slight mod I said they will work on the 87-earlier chassis.

One more shot and then listing it on eVilbay...

Does the passenger side header have the chimney pipe hole for cold starts?

No, you have to cut a small piece of exhaust pipe and either weld or clamp it to one of the header tubes.

thanks guys, I've decided that I'm going to stay with the stock manifolds for now (see my WTB thread)

Someone buy these headers, its a great deal and they're STAINLESS STEEL which means they won't rust!

TTT for ya Wes

Bump to top again for a great deal on stainless headers...

Whats your zip? Let me check cuz if it costs $200 to ship them, thats a great deal for you.
