Really like those valve covers, where did you get them? Do they have them in red?
 
Thanks for the props everybody. The valve covers came from Classic Ind. no not in red but aint nuthin one can't paint. As far as the cam if I told you guys numbers I'd be lying,all I know is it's a Tall one for sure. It's 10.5 to 1 compression, roller lifters, roller rockers, Aluminum Edelbrock performer heads, Victor JR intake, Holly 750 double pumper. I was told I should see around 500-550 HP. I'm not really a motor builder just a glorified parts changer.
 
im putting together a 383 right now... thats a serious mill u got there...are planning on wheeling the truck or is it for the dunes..?
 
Yea It's a TH400. Wheeling yea mostly dunes but dirt is not out of the question just depends.I won't be afraid to scar it thou. Told the wife I'm building it up to beat it down.LOL
 
Got my drive shafts back, so I decided to paint them. Stripped the firewall and painted with that hammered finish from rustoleum. I also sprayed some rubberized undercoating on the whole under side. It was not as thick as I thought it was going to be but it's much better than it ever was. The chassis waiting to have a body put back on (Think it might be next weekend)

looks good so far but whats with people painting parts in the day glow gay assed colors? they look like a crayola box with all the different colors

LMAO!!!!

Sledheadak it is kinda like a running joke with my friends. 15 yrs ago I painted my rims that color just to be funny and the truck became the one with the green rims and everybody hated it so much I kept them that way so now with the renovation I thought I would change it up and do the drive shafts.

:D I don't know what it is about that either but I'm guilty of it. My cab is white and EVERYTHING else is flat black (heck even the rims are black) but my front d-shaft is bright red. :dunno:
