Ok, I am looking for interchangability information on the Eaton HO52 axle. I have a 70 K25 suburban with the No-Spin rear, but was told the brakes were bad on it. I would like to try and get them partially working so I can move the truck around while i work on/part it out, and brakes would be helpful. Plus it will add to the resale of the axle if I know it works.
So what parts will swap between years? I read that the 2wd use the 11" brakes and the 4x4 used 12", which is hard to get parts for. Do any parts from these swap? Like the hubs and such? There is a 2wd C20 in the yard here with an open rear I can grab parts from if they will reansfer over.
Also, if anyone knows where I can get parts to rebuild the front or rear brakes (adjusters, wheel cylinders, etc) that would be great.
I just got the truck, so I am going to be looking it over tonight (still on the trailer) and then once I find a place for it, digging into it.
