School me on flat towing

No it can remain hooked up it works on demand thats why there is a pressure switch.. IE a lot of drag guys use them because of large cams and little to no vacuum at idle. So when you hit the brakes you drain the vacuum from the booster and the motor can't make up the vacuum so there is no brakes the pump kicks on and makes up for it so you dint loose brakes. It hooks to the booster not the hydraulic lines.

So your saying to just leave it hooked up and it will turn on with the truck running if it needs to? I like it, and it just might work........................:D

If being cool was cheap or easy everyone would be. you should be able to pick one up cheap check the local car swap meets and such.

Not that it matters anymore.:( (at the moment) I'm currently trying to part it out, but if I get this job with the county I'm looking at, it won't be for sale:D Let's hope that happens:wink1:

well here is a loaded pic for you i just towed it 700 miles round trip to glamis and left the 42 on it as i did not want to swap tires this trip (LAZY) and no problems.

The tow bar goes down hill so when you stop, it pushes down on the tow vehicle for better stopping.

And if you stop hard enough, it probably makes the front end of the tow rig squirly. But that is a pretty long tow rig, so you were probably ok.

I have never had a problem i have been towing it this way for 3 years now with the same tow rig.The front has not got squirrelly on me as of yet and it tows awesome 65 no problems. The tow rig has a 5.7 with 238,000 miles on the original motor still going strong, it is like the energizer bunny.

But i'm guessing the towed rig is lower with the tires you normally tow with, right?

Its not severe, and with a good amount of weight on the tow rig, i'm sure your fine.
